You can get up and running fast by simply changing to your CD-ROM drive, changing to this directory (\PROGRAM), and running the 3DDARL program. For example, if your CD-ROM is installed on your D: drive, you would use the following commands: D: CD \PROGRAM 3DDARL Be sure to press ENTER or RETURN after each line, use spaces only where shown, and to use the correct "\" key. That's it! -- Enjoy! However, if you want to install it on your hard disk, you can run the INSTALL batch file. Do this by running the INSTALL batch file in the root directory of the CD and using the CD drive name as the first argument and the drive you want to install to as the second argument. For instance, if your CD-ROM drive is D: and you want to install to your C: drive, you would type: D:\INSTALL D: C: and press RETURN or ENTER. From then on, following this example, you would run the program by going to your C: drive, changing to the 3DDARL directory, and typing 3DDARL and pressing RETURN or ENTER. Installing to your hard drive may speed up the program slightly. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// USING THE PROGRAM: This program is easy to use. You are first presented with the title screen which will disappear after several seconds, or you may press the Escape (ESC) key to shorten the delay. Next you are presented with the main screen which consists of 10 girls You may press Escape (ESC) to quit the program at this point, or you may move the red selection rectangle (using the arrow keys) to the girl you want to see and press the ENTER or RETURN key. Upon selecting a girl, you will be shown the first thumbnail screen for the girl selected. Additional thumbnails can be viewed by pressing the Page Up (PgUp) or Page Down (PgDn) keys. On the right side of the screen will be displayed information about the selected girl (including name, height, measurements, hair color, and eye color). From this point, you may press Escape (ESC) to return to the main screen, press the F1 key to view a slide show of all of the images for the current girl, press F2 to view a slide show of all of the images for the current girl in 3-D format, or you may select a single picture to view by moving the red selection rectangle to the desired picture and pressing RETURN or ENTER. If you chose one of the slide shows, you will be shown each picture of the set, one after the other, with a pause between each picture. You may press the space bar during this slide show to skip from a picture to the next without waiting for the delay, and you may abort the slide show at any time by pressing the Escape (ESC) key. Once each picture of the set has been shown, you will be returned to the thumbnail screen for the girl. If you chose to display a single image (by moving the rectangle and ENTER or RETURN), then the picture you choose will be displayed full-size. After the image is displayed, the following key commands are available: [F3] Toggle between the normal and 3-D views of the current image. + or = Zoom-in (magnify view). The equals (=) key is allowed so that you don't have to press shift to zoom in. - or _ Zoom-out (shrink view). The underscore (_) key is allowed so that it will work even if you have the shift key pressed. [Up Arrow] Move (pan) up the image (same scale). [Down Arrow] Move (pan) down the image (same scale). [Left Arrow] Move (pan) left on the image (same scale). [Right Arrow] Move (pan) right on the image (same scale). [SPACEBAR] Go back to a full-screen view of the image. This is the view which the image is first displayed in. [ESC] Stop viewing the image and return to the thumbnail screen. Note: To perform the scrolling and panning operations, the program will try to use a buffer in conventional RAM. If there is not enough free conventional RAM, then the image will be reloaded from the CD after a zoom or pan key is pressed. This will result in a slower response time. To improve your speed, be sure to have as much free RAM as possible before starting this program. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: To use this program with DOS, you should have a VGA or Super VGA compatible video card which can display 8-bit color (256 colors). This program relies on VESA Video BIOS Extension (VBE) Version 1.0 (or better) support from your video card. Most cards have this capability built in and some provide it through a TSR which you must install. If you experience color display problems, Please contact your video board manufacturer to see if newer TSR software is available. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: XCD Entertainment, Inc. 137 S.
